The Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are the perfect stepping stone before shelling out the extra money on a dedicated server. You get pretty much all the comforts of a dedicated machine (your own space, shell and root access, Web Hosting Manager software (with cPanel), ability to compile any script or additional module including Tomcat and other Java applications. The only thing you don’t get to modify is the KERNEL version on the server.

Feel like testing out PHP 5.3 but don’t want to break your current store running PHP 5.2, take a VPS for a spin and you can compile and test to your hearts content. Need to go back in time and run a PHP 4.4 server? You can do that too on a VPS.

The setup and delivery of a VPS Server is usually completed in less than 1 business day. If you choose to have a control panel installed it will be configured with the base installation of the control panel and you will be responsible to configure the control panel to suit your needs.
